Captain "Kiwi" Chris van Leeuwen'Kiwi' Chris has been fishing the Pacific coast of Guatemala for the past 5 years initially with the Fins n Feathers Fleet and latterly on ALLURE. Prior to fishing in Guatemala he was fishing the prolific waters of the Galapagos Islands chasing big striped marlin and blues. Kiwi has had success in local tournaments since he has been in Guatemala and is known to be an extremely professional and easy going captain who places an emphasis on client satisfaction with a focus on enabling anglers to hook their own fish. |

Captain Ron HamlinCaptain Ron is world-renowned as one of the top Captains in deep sea fishing. Holding several world records, he has long been known for his unique sportfishing techniques. His promotion of the conservation of billfish by using circle hooks is well recognized. Recently he achieved a world record of 124 sailfish released in a single day!! He also has the highest recorded number of sailfish, 2809 released in the last year! |

Captain Eddie BairezCaptain Eddie Bairez of the Circle Hook has been with the boat (formerly Cpt Hook) for 11 years, starting as a mate and protegee for the legendary Ron Hamlin then taking the helm in 2004. Eddie is an outstanding captain that has learned well from the best. Eddie speaks perfect English and is a pleasure to fish with. |

Captain Marcial RuizCaptain Marcial Fajardo Ruiz (Perla del Mare) is one of the best local captains in the Guatemalan fleet. In 1998 he started his career as captain of the Inter Price and this same year travelled to Costa Rica to participate as a captain in their fishing tournament. His two best fishing days have been: 1) 68 sail fish released and 16 caught on the fly and 2) a Grand Slam including black and blue marlin, along with a sailfish. He's also caught 14 rooster fish in one day with live bait. Capt. Ruiz has been a boat captain for the last 9 years, and is an expert fishing the Guatemalan waters. |

Captain Tom BoiceCapitan Tom Boice will guide you. He has been living in Guatemala for 20 years, has been fishing here for over 12 years and has a lifetime of experience on and in the water (you may even have seen him as a stunt double for Kevin Bacon in the movie ‘The River Wild’). Tom will adapt to your level of sailfishing experience and guide you as and when you wish. It is a hands on fishing experience from learning the circle hook hook up method to pitching a bait to a hot sailfish chasing the teaser to learning different ways to rig a ballyhoo with a circle hook. |

Allure (39 ft Convertible Bertram) - Capt. "Kiwi" Chris van LeeuwenALLURE is one of, it not the, finest charter sportfishing vessel in Guatemala. Allure is a 2001 39ft Bertram Convertible, powered by twin 480HP Volvos and coupled with ZF gears, she has a cruise speed of 23 knots. The boat is in immaculate condition and will provide any angler with a great fishing platform. With the added luxury of a air conditioning, a large salon, 2 state rooms, a new sound system and VCR/TV/DVD, it will make those long runs (when needed), that much more enjoyable. The boat is fully equipped with top of the line Shimano reels, custom rods, a marlin tower and a modern electronics package. The Allure also has quite a reputation for excellent food and very cold beer!

The Release (37ft Merritt)A 37’ Merritt built in 1961 by Buddy Merritt himself. He called the 37 “THE PERFECT FISHING BOAT” and built her with one purpose in mind to help raise and catch fish. Hosting up to five anglers, Release is the Queen of the fleet. Set up in the classic day boat style, that means plenty of comfortable seating in the shade but not out of the action. Forward of the salon and below are the head and galley where our mates prepare delicious snacks and hot lunches. Release’s open teak cockpit and clean wake make her truly a “World Class” fishing machine. Her ability to back down at high speeds and spin on a dime make catching doubles, triples and quads seem easy. The combination of it all makes her the ultimate fly fishing boat! On March 11, 2006 the Release set the new one day record for sailfish caught fly fishing - 57!

Nany (43ft Merritt)43’ Merritt powered by a pair of 2007 6C Cummins. Built in 1974 as the Sansouri, It was later sold to Capt. Joe Lopez, who named it Prowess and in turn, led Maudi Lopez to her 1,073-pound Atlantic blue marlin record in 1982 off St. Thomas. Next the boat was called the Buddy Boy and today she is the Nany and can fish five anglers in style. |

Pelagian (37ft Rybovich)A truly exceptional example of the Rybovich day boat, the company that invented the modern day sport fisherman. This classic has been fully restored including new Cat Diesels in 2005. This 1961 37’ offers the same day boat style that the traditionalist demand. Pelagian has always been one of Fins ‘n Feathers best fish raisers and most requested boats. She has held the record for most billfish caught in a single season for two years running. The Pelagian fishes up to five anglers in comfort. |

Adios (38 ft Jupiter)The Adios is a 2007 Jupiter 38' Tournament Series with a centre console, a marlin tower and triple 250 Yamaha 4 stroke outboards, modern electronics, a furuno 3D radar, GPS plotter and sonar, ICOM VHF and single side band radio. The boat is the fastest in the marina with a top speed of 50 MPH which is a huge advantage if the fish are a long way from shore ...more time fishing! |

Perla del Mare (37ft Bertram)The Perla del Mare is a 1998, 37 foot Bertram with twin caterpillar 430`s, air conditioning, full galley for preparing hot food, and top of the line electronics. She is a fast boat with a top speed of 24 knots, and a cruising speed of 20 knots. This boat is in brand new condition and is very well maintained. |

Circle Hook (43ft Carolina)The Circle Hook (previously named the Captain Hook) is a 43 ft. Willis made famous by Captain Ron Hamlin. The boat is powered by twin Cummins diesels, and was built in North Carolina by master boat builders. Their wooden hulls produce a low rumbling sound notorious for raising billfish. The Circle Hook's ability to raise fish is proven by the many records it has set for numbers of fish caught in one day and one year. |
