Company Directors

Philippa Myers was born in London, grew up on the continent and after obtaining a business studies degree from Edinburgh University, she arrived in Latin America and has never left. She set up her own IATA travel agency which grew to be the 10th largest in the country within 3 years. During this time she has worked exclusively in the tourism industry also owning her own tour company and restaurant. Now Executive Director of Mayan Tours & Travel, she is also throwing her passion for arranging travel into the Sport fishing industry with Rods & Reels Sportfishing Co.

Philippa is also a Consul Warden for the British Embassy.

Liz van Leeuwen is a New Zealander and has made Guatemala her home for the last 3 years after living in and fishing the Galapagos Islands and working in the boating industry in the south of France. Prior to this, Liz worked for 5 years as a Sales Executive for a large Event company in Auckland, New Zealand. This was the perfect environment for her networking and organizational skills not to mention combining her passions of fine food and wine. Since being in Guatemala, Liz has been actively involved in local fishing tournaments and has taken a keen interest in the Sportfishing industry.
